Det. Reyes probably doesn't see anything wrong with terrorizing an innocent family in his fanatical search for weeds. The family should understand that for the good of the masses, on occasion individuals must make sacrifices for law and order.
I hope that family hires a lawyer and doesn't just let it pass. What would have happened if some elderly person suffered a stroke and died from this Nazi like behavior. And you can't just blame the detective(he seemed inexperienced and overzealous)but the judge is to blame too for not insisting on a FLIR confirmation before issuing a warrant. Any way you cut it though weeds should be legal and we shouldn't be wasting time and money enforcing unjust laws when there are so many other things the police need to be doing.
