Start asking yourself if your are dreaming while you are awake. Get into a pattern of asking yourself that and concentrate on remembering that while lying down to go to sleep. Also, if you aren't sure, then try to turn the lights on or off and if they don't work, then your dreaming. Look up lucid dreaming on google and there are plenty of tips and info about it. For me, everytime I start flying, I realize I'm dreaming and then I usually wake up.
