A company called Suttons Bay Trading (just use Google or any search engine and enter "Suttons Bay Trading") sells "Poppy Seeds, Whole" and says that "The slate-blue poppy seeds are widley used in the middle-east and India for baking and garnishes,ect." These would be your basic Papaver somniferum seeds,right? Well they sell them for 16 oz. (about 480 grams!) for just $4.95.
Do you think they are sterilized or otherwise treated so that they are not viable? Probably not,right? i.e.,theyre' probably viable right?
Thats alot of seeds cheap,I know theyre' probably a lower opium content variety than Persian whites,Taz,Hen & chicks,ect. (bread-seed variety?)
But you could plant tons of em'

Is it too late to plant my Persian white seeds (from Bouncing Bear) in S. California? (I could sit em' outside in the morning and bring em' indoors under flourecent lights at night.
