Seems they were growing invitro shit(mostly sclerotia I believe) a long time ago for psilo production and probably where that idea of growing mycellium for psilo came from. They weren't using cubes though and I believe the strains they used take much longer, so actually fruiting cubensis may achieve more psilo in a shorter time....
