Bhang is very tasty. My version isnt quite as complex and I shifted the spices to resemble mexican horchata. Also I would never use buds to make it. Shake is just fine and also more traditional. Takes from 60 - 90 min. to kick in.
Warning!!! Label the container you store it in. My wife thought I had made a batch of horchata and drank almost a pint of bhang. She was happy but too sleepy for me to talk into sex.

Bhang:
Shake(I use up to 1 cup of well dried ground shake)
2 cinnamon sticks
2 aniseed pods
1 finger of ginger peeled but left whole about 1 inch
1 cup raw sugar (white sugar works but doesnt taste as good)
1/2 gallon of whole milk
1 pint half and half (optional but adds milk-fat for thc extraction and a yummie cream note to the flavor)
Put the whole thing in a crockpot on low overnight and in the morning strain and enjoy hot or chill for a great cold beverage.
