On the hunt...
After some recent rain, I decided to check on a patch I discovered last year. I remember it being the perfect habitat in a nice shaded area. It's also very close to the bay and totally private. I was quite happy to find cyanofriscosa's in full bloom. This is a great location, I picked for an hour in broad daylight without any onlookers. This also allowed me to take lots of photos, which is just as fun.
This mushroom gets about twice the size of Psilocbye cyanescens, with the same potency. It's an invasive species which takes over an area with a vigor I haven't seen before. I'm excited to figure out its true identity, and possibly giving it a name. Here's some photos from todays hunt. I took alot because there's very little documentation on this species.
The majority were cut with scissors, but this first group were simply pulled out to generate some spawn. This can be spread into new habitats, or used for a back yard garden.
