The thing is confidentiality laws are here, they just arent enforced really. I had this issue with a confidentiality break of my own and now it lingers...
So I think my friend said they'd rather live in angst than to have anyone know what they tried.
Honestly, I can say if it were my situation, I'd do the same. I'd deal with the eye problems and head aches over a reputation.
