Bobcat LEVEL +10 - IN GOOD STANDING
Hey, just wanted to say that between my first and second post here I had started drinking. Lol, heavily- I enjoyed it greatly, thank you! Anyway, I kept my comment short and to the point for that reason (didn't want to make an ass of myself).

Actually I agree with Bucky that mental health is a state of mind in the general sense. I believe you can talk yourself depressed and I believe you can talk yourself happy. I believe and have witnessed the power of a positive (and/or negative attitude) in both mental and physical health.

But when you get into the world of actual clinical depression/anxiety, a medical condition(s), people often lack the capability for true positive thinking- even if they think they are doing it. These people need #1 talk therapy and #2 Rx.

When you get into manic or hallucinatory states, no amount of positive thinking will help. These people need #1 Rx and #2 talk therapy.

As an interesting side note, however, not all people that experience hallucinations are bothered by them. Apparently many people here voices (that tend to have positive or neutral messages) or have mild visual experiences/ distortions without a problem.

So Raven, this could be spiritual or mental. Either way you need to decide for yourself if this is a NEGATIVE thing for you. Take it slow. How are you handling stress? Emotions? Importantly, what are others saying to you or how are they acting around you? Don't take this last part lightly. We all tend to discount what others' think- its a natural defense mechanism. But in this case you need to lower your guard and trust those who know you.

And please please please if you have even the slightest doubt about your situation, go talk to someone! Don't worry, you won't be committed or anything like that unless your dangerous. Just go talk to a health professional- someone you trust but don't know personally, if possible- and get their opinion.
