ive talked to a couple of people on mycotopia who were intrested in how to make ISO hash, so i decided to post a thread.
isophrol alcohol is just another name for rubbing alcohol, which is cheep and found at almost any general store, usually near the first aid junk..
anyways.
all you will need is:
-a bottle of rubbing alcohol, which costs about $1.50 where i live. you want to try and find the highest %age of alcohol, the lower the % the longer it will take to dry, no effect in poitency, just duration of how long the alcohol will take to dry.
-your stash, usually i smoke my dank buds, and use the shwagg for making my hash. the smallest amount ive ever used to make quickwash was probably a gram. youll just want to use a perportional amount of alchol to how much weed you have.
-a sieve, an instrument with a meshed or perforated bottom, used for straining the alcohol from the plant material.
-a plate, like any plate you would eat off of. you ned a flat surface though, no bumps on it otherwise it will be difficult to scrape your hash off of after the alcohol evaporates.
-a razor blade, which most of us probably already have around the house.
Directions..
take your pot, grind it up as much as possible.
then put the weed into a air tight container, film cansiters work good for smaller amounts, perscription pill bottels work good too, just anything that you can put a liquid in, shake it, and not have any of the liquid come out.
fill the canister with rubbing alcohol just up to the top of the weed, so that the buds are floating in the alcohol.
shake violently for ONLY UP TO TWO MINUTES, any longer will expose the sugars in the plant to the alcohol. which would make your hash that much more impure.
after shaking, strain the plant materail from the alcohol with your sieve onto your plate.
you could probably wash your plant material again after it dried.
once you have the alcohol seperated from the plant material on the plate you can let the alcohol evaporate, leaving the resin glands that dissolved into the rubbing alcohol.
scrape the hash off of the plate once ALL of the alcohol has evaporated and smoke at your leasure.
this is probably one of the cheepest ways to make hash, at least cheepest ive came across so far anyways.
works great and doesnt take TOO long...
