Litmus, those are beautiful crystals, the prettiest I have ever seen.

As the person who first developed the technique of mescaline extraction that doesn't require you to boil and strain and boil and strain the cactus, I wanted to congratulate you and comment on your extraction log.

If I had never done this before, and saw this extraction, I would be very intimidated. It looks complicated and it is fairly complicated. For those who want to make beautiful Mescaline Sulfate crystals, I would just follow Lithmus's well documented instructions, and you should have great results.

If you goal is to more easily extract mescaline and not worry about getting asthetically beautiful crystals and are OK with the Hydrochloride salt, well there are much simpler methods with less steps and less potential to screw up. If it's OK, Ill post my original method in a seperate thread. You dont get pretty crystals, but what you get will provide just as good of a mescaline experience, and the tek has been tried over and over again, and does make up the basic beginning of lithmus' extraction. The only issue with less clean crystals is that you aren't as sure about the purity, so there is some minimal uncertainty in dosing. Unlike the other most commonly extracted product, DMT, purity will not affect the experience. The impurities are just sugars from the cactus and perhaps other cactus alkaloids. With DMT, for example, if it isnt very pure, it doesnt vaporize well, tastes terribler, and breakthrough using a vaporizer can be difficult. None of those issues is pertinent to orally active agents like mescaline.

My point is not to "dis" Lithmus' post because it is a most excellent documentation, but I don't want non chemists to think you have to go to such lengths to extract mescaline from legal, easily available cactus. Mescaline for the masses.
