morthos LEVEL +10 - IN GOOD STANDING
Thanks for the replies!

As for an emergency, there should be one or two houses a little further down the road (a few hundred metres) with year-round people in them. I have a cellphone that works fine in that area, and inlaws about 30K away. Id hardly want to call them unless I had to in that state, as Id be rather surprised if they had ever been hippies in their days...but I could if I had to. In a way the fact that I rode out a bad trip there once helps too...I have a good idea of what its like and how to deal with it.

On that trip I was fooloshly trying to reanact a great trip from months before and went canoeing on a hot cloudless day with far too many boats in the water. That and the stress id been under for the previous few months was too much and I retreated into the shack for hours, crying in the armchair. I eventually had enough of the seige mentality that had been created and dared my demons to come in the window and do their worst. When nothing happened, I realized all my stresses were self inflicted and was able to relax, and the rest of the trip was very nice. I returned to canoeing in the evening during sunset and it was quite beautiful. Long story, but you get the idea.

Ive found before that trip toys are often simply ignored during an event are youre caught up with other things or cant be bothered to play with them. Though I always am interested in visual trips, I sometimes cant be bothered to focus on that either, rather ponder imponderables for a few hours. What I try to do before a trip is set things up so they require little or no effort to do, as I find Im unable to make decisions on a heavy trip.

I expect that the plywood or other semi-natural items may end up to be the trippiest things. A spider web would be cool! I expect that I will go outside, and perhaps even go up a trail behind the shack to areas ive scouted out in previous visits. The shack will be my safe zone to start up and then return to. Treebark is excellent natural fractal material...why there are some nice ones just by the shack!

I would have the shack set up with the toys and such, as well as a backpack with what id need outdoors. Whether id use any of it is another thing, but water, clothes, flashlight, pipe etc would all be in there. Oh yes, and steel-toe winter rubber boots so Im not concerned about what I step in!

Any recommended links for some trippy music please Qmark

Thanks a bunch!
