| Fighting nausea just prolongs the discomfort.
Most people hate vomiting, and try anything to avoid it. If the main focus of my attention is on my queasy stomach then I'm not enjoying much of anything, so it's time for the finger-down-the-throat. Once it felt like I was giving birth as I puked during a peak (puking was a profound experience). It was smooooth sailling after the purge. The toothbrush is a handy thing to have afterwards, good idea! Also, I recommend drinking a lot of water as the nausea sets in (IF it sets in) so the stomach acids are diluted somewhat and it's not so horrible when you hurl.
If you re-dose, you'll trip longer, so have some easily-digested carbs handy to counter the blood sugar drop from your brain being on overdrive so long. That, I think, is what causes the tight feeling in the head/ behind the eyes that makes people wish they could stop tripping and go to sleep. A spoonful of honey or some fruit juice makes that feeling go away and the trip remains enjoyable. At least that's been my experience.
Unless it's summer, I always carry an Army surplus wool blanket with me (in a small backpack) because it can feel like shelter (a security blanket!) and my body chills very easily on mushrooms so it greatly aids my comfort. In case something unforeseen happens, it is a shelter (doesn't just feel like one). Being wrapped in a thick wool blanket while tripping under the stars at night in the woods is as good as it gets in my opinion...
