| I'de like to point out one unique property of everclear over less potent alcohols like 151 Rum;
That is that everclear,when evapourating down will remain at a stable 95% alcohol content [not counting the psilly]
Whereas the Rum will lose more alcohol than water when evapourated, so you end up with less preservative qualities...
Its simply because alcohol evapourates 19 times as fast as water...And thats why the maximum % of alcohol that you can get from distillation is 95... |
