I guess, for me, I don't see the impending robotic armies as being automated but remote controlled. No real reason to create AI when you've got generations growing up on video games. Entire infantries can fight from home siting at their PC's; air craft, tanks, choppers and warships can be remote controlled from a central command.
Military service members can play video games all day and make it home in time for supper.
