Shake and trim is PERFECT for cooking purposes! When cooking with leaf/trim you just have to be a little more careful of all the extra plant matter. All that hemp fiber can get chewy and give you gas.

The process with leaf/trim is basically the same. Start with ultra dry material, so it is easy to powder. Use a little more leaf than bud (10-15 gms) per stick of butter. Heat for 30-45 minutes in the double boiler and then filter the plant material out with a metal mesh colander.

Use the magic butter in whatever recipe you want. The leftover plant material will still have some magic and works well with chewy/gritty edibles (like the granola recipe above), ya just gotta eat more.

Leaf/trim edibles tend to have a higher concentration of CBDs which results in a more narcotic or “couchlock” type of high.

Don’t forget you can use olive or vegetable oil. You would be surprised how much olive oil you eat just in a vinaigrette on a good salad! And there are TONS of recipes which really pack in the oil without you even realizing it. An Alfredo sauce or a fudge recipe are excellent examples – both are easy to prepare and pack a boatload of oil to your tum-tum!

Just gimmie a hard baguette, some sea salt and a little balsamic vinegar on the side. I can consume (via dipping) 1/8 cup of olive oil in no time!

Golly, if you haven’t eaten herb before, I sure hope you try it. It really is a nice buzz and much longer lasting than smoking. You’ll still feel a good edible treat pretty strongly 6-8 hours later. It is also much easier to keep a little “chill pill” available for easy consumption at any time. “Why ya always got that little square of fudge in your tool bag?”

Eating kind of is and kind of isn't the same as smoking. Parts are different, parts are the same. I can't promise that if smoking annoys you then eating won't.

Just don’t eat too much! I can promise you won't like that! Spacecake isn’t kidding about hallucinations. Projectile vomiting and horrid drunk room spinning stuff will also happen to you. It feels like inhaling really hard on a cigar a few times. So nauseous you just FEEL green!

I don’t eat the edibles all the time, but I really like keeping them around (that is part of the reason for the freezer recipe – that recipe keeps forever). It is just such a nice high for certain things. A light edible buzz and some booze is about my favorite way to gear up for a really good meal out.
