That's a good point. Getting high-quality alcohol is a great hangover prevention aid. That's one reason why good moonshine is so superior...it's often triple-distilled (lowering the temp each time) and on the last pull, the first few ounces or quart of product is separated and discarded. The discarded part contains fusel oils and higher alcohols- impurities that cause hangovers!

Your typical store bought brands only do a single distillation, and the impurities are not discarded.
