physically, the site contents-
yes.
i do have legal ownership
of much of the content
and all of the format itself.
not that i really sought after such ownership,
but over time
we were forced by circumstances
to recognize
the rules and laws of society
that apply even here.

lemme run it down to you-
i had to file for legal trademark
on the name
mycotopia
not because i'm a prick
intent on getting rich
but because
some other fucker
was trying to steal it for himself
by filing for the trademark behind my back.
you dig ?
if i didn't take legal ownership,
someone else was going to.
you can't leave something that's valuable
just lying around without a legal owner.
sad but reality.

philosophically-
the spirit of mycotopia
i cannot 'own'.
i look at mycotopia
kinda like it was my own child.
thru pain
i gave birth to a living thing,
i molded it in my image along the way
but i do not own it
and one day i will set it free
to go its' own way without me.
i'm doing my best to prepare it for that day,
helping it to mature, grow up, get strong.
i'm a parent, not an owner.
