what moment brought you the most:
fear?

tough one.
fear has many forms.
i remember being forced to lie out
on my face
on a cold west texas road at night
while two cowboys held loaded guns to my head.
that was pretty scary.
i saw a friend of mine die
after getting shot 5 times.
i've walked into a room full of natural gas pouring full-bore from a broken furnace pipe
to shut it down while everyone else ran away.
i've waded waist-high across flooded basement
to turn off the electricity.
i've been pinned under a semi and dragged several dozen yards
while glass and metal exploded around me.
i've stopped breathing during surgery
and had to be resuscitated.
i guess i'm not one who's very prone to
physical fear.
just been thru too much shit
for it to really phase me anymore.
been ready for death since i was 17.

i guess if i had to pick one event
it'd be the ride to the hospital
after a phone call told me my son had been hurt.
i didn't know yet if he was still alive.
he was not.
