Ecuador strain, print to syringe
using the very first print ever traded here at mycotopia
thanks i_am_me

these spores were getting old and my friend has
never worked with EQ yet.
the only problem is that the furnace broke and was
off for a few weeks, leaving temps far too cold for cubies.
many other projects were lost
a heated FC was designed to keep temps in the mid 70's.
it is basically FC-in-tub
Attachment 80732
a short bin with a submersible fish tank heater on bottom
and a perlite FC up top.
also this is a total neglected chamber
meant for someone who is never home.
there are 6 quarter sized tyvek breathers
and an optional battery powered fan (which was not used yet)
This time No Fanning at all
and no casing either.
the sub was Donkey Doo and Straw mix from mycrotopia.
it had actually been in the freezer for several months.
it was left to thaw overnight
and then loaded into 4 quart jars and PC'd for 1 hour
4 1/2 pt. cakes were spawned to 1 gallon of D-DOO/Straw mix
and left to recover for 4 days
Attachment 80733
birthed to chamber
the EQ loves the Donkey doo and straw

even rhizos climbing up the plastic walls
after 6 days there were pinners
Attachment 80734
then a few more days and the ecuador spore stock is replenished
Attachment 80735
flush one harvest
Attachment 80736
Ecuador strain seems to be a medium sized cubensis
as this was the largest shroom from the first flush
Attachment 80737
a small chunk from a contaminated jar fruiting invitro
Attachment 80738Attachment 80739
a stray EQ cake
Attachment 80740
not the most amazing flush
and an un-even pinset,
but very happy that:
• the cold room temps were defeated
• more EQ spores to work with
• finally got to try the Donkey doo / straw mix from Mycrotopia
these small mushrooms were not picked yet
not sure if they are aborts or flush 2 coming up
Attachment 80741
anyways going to flood this sub and see what happens for flush two
Thanks for reading
