There are literally 100's of poppy seeds in the packs... more than enough to begin a nice garden. You have to thin the poppy plants out every 12" otherwise they will compete with each other. 100's of seeds spaced at 12" a piece and you are looking at quite a large area for a poppy garden- plenty enough to never have to buy poppy seeds ever again in your lifetime.

Poppy seed counts for our seed packs also depend upon the strain that one purchases. Common strains i.e. hens and chicks or persian whites will contain more seeds than the harder to find strains i.e. Himilayan blues or white tazzies.
