I really don't know the heat destruction curve for the magic but it seems to be quite resistant with an hour of boiling..
The estimated 20% loss is partly due to , extracting 40g into a single qt of water, alkaloids still trapped in the mush and proly the heating..

If you have a Butt load of shroomage, then 20% doesn't mean much really...

Someone could try going for an 80g halfpint but the cook time will be longer, unless you have two big fry pans...Who knows, mebbe 90 mins isn't that destructive...
