Remember, for decades, the US military has been preparing to fight ww3 against Mother Russia. But that big date seems to have fallen through, so we've switched over to the GWOT. Fighting on three middle asian fronts really doesn't sound like that big of a deal to me. Especially since one (iran) is just an extension of the other (iraq).

I wouldn't worry about it too much.
