I would get that brown jar out of the house. That brown shit is nasty. I'm not sure if the fruits are safe to eat either. I had brown and it appeared that the mycelium took it over. When I took it out of the jar and busted it up the was a brown powder on the inside of the cake that took up quite a bit. Cobweb and trich fruits are safe to eat, but not all fruits with contams are.
I have never heard that invitro fruits are stronger. I wouldn't think that they are, but I really don't know.
