see my point ?
you guys are basically talking
about an army feeding itself
off what can be gathered-
and there is a definite limit
to how many men can subsist
and how long
on the resources they can forage-
study the civil or napoleonic wars
for good examples of this limit,
and food was much more plentiful then.

not many small farmers today like there used to be-
many out here have no garden, no critters,
they came here to escape city life
but they never went rural,
just yuppies hiding on what used to be a farm.
