LED current balancing is a good idea in general, and pulse-width modulation is the most efficient way to regulate current.
I'd bet that both units use PWM for the main regulator.
However, regulating the current to individual LEDs in the array doesn't assure that each LED will have the same light output.
And that's not necessary anyway. It's the average light output of the array that's important.
So, I contend that if prosource really is regulating individual LED current, it's a waste of money.
Do you have schematics or literature for the two units for comparison?
