If you have proof that cutting them back makes for a larger yield or higher quality, I would really like to see it. But if you cant provide a scientific side by side with a control group and an experimental group then I would say that information is not conclusive. If you cant do that, then its not proven, period. I'm sorry if the strain that you have been growing responds that way, but that doesn't mean that every plant does. Different strains have different calyx to leaf ratios. He is also growing with LED in soil, so to compare that to an ebb and flow system isn't proper either. They are under different lighting conditions with different nutrients and mediums.
Marijuana plants dont like stress in flowering btw. It forces them to dedicate their energy to something else (self preservation) besides trying to make babies.
Also, to say "I guess it depends on how much proof you need and how long you've been growing." Is pretty rude and uncalled for.
This isn't the shroomery.
And FYI I grew up on a farm, taking care of a huge garden from the time I could walk. I have a pretty decent college education, and don't just talk to hear my own voice.
