Desiccant packets, often found inside a new pair of shoes, are a great way to keep the boomers dry over the long haul (nice recommendation Jammer

).
A quick jaunt down to your favorite box store's shoe department can yield at least a few packets.
I used to work at Payless Shoes back in the day, and there were always random packets of desiccant scattered all over the store, no matter how many I picked up...so they won't likely be missed.

Well my friend has started to rethink how she has been storing her tubs, and recently made a major shift in the room she's storing them in.
She originally had all the tubs stacked neatly next to each other, for what she thought would be an out of the way, easy to work with space.
It turns out that the tubs were not getting the right amount of FAE and ambient sunlight (some of the boomers were stringy and thin, others were growing shorter and stopping).
Well after 3 days of spreading the tubs out, at varying levels to promote even air flow/light, the boomers have just freaking exploded in size.
She's currently taking spore prints of 11 of the biggest...and the prints are just insanely dark purple and beautiful.
Two words for recommended spores for those who are on the fence, trying to make a decision as to "what should I work with next?".....
SOUTH AMERICAN.
***NOTE: any unusual purple or reddish looking parts in these tubs is due to camera error!***
