I found they give me the runs unless I wipe the slippery off.

Use them like porcini. I have a lot of them dried and they make great mushroom stock.

I spent a month in Aus in 1980. The seafood was incredible. The wine industry was just getting started - I got bottles of wine in restaurants for about $2-3.
