I'm with sog and sg, put your money into more light and not into fancy gadgets. The manufacturor will tell you whatever you want to hear. People who bought them do not want to say they wasted money. Sure they help a little but so does more light.
BTW, has anyone worked with side lighting? You have your canopy light and then can put some lights on the sides.
