I know it is not PC but on my first grow I was so horny to get things going that I took my large pressure cooker outside and set it in a snowbank. I have had dozens of runs since with no problems. In my little pc there is a valve I can unscrew and that releases steam slowly.
When I was cooking beans once I forgot about the pot and came back to find that the rubber safety plug had blown and there were bean fragments everywhere. I replaced the plug and it worked fine again for many years. Don't be stupid and don't be afraid.
