| Any advice for a first timer????
Hoping someone will be able to offer a little advice if possible. Here is what happened: a bunch of quart jars of rye grain were inoculated and colonized with mycellium. After that they were transferred to 9x13 cake pans with a casing layer of coco coir on the bottom, all around the sides, and on top. Next they were put back into the darkness for about another week. There is quite a bit of white showing on the tops some of them are completely white and completely solid cakes. They have been out of the darkness for 7 to 14 days and there is no pinning going on so has something been done wrong? There are short clear plastic bins that perfectly hold 3 of the cake pans and there are three of the pans in each tub. The tempature is around 70f and the reletive humidity is above 90%. At 8am the lights are turned on and the lids are removed from the tubs for air exchange, the lights go off fairly late (around 11pm), the lids are removed once in the morning, once at night, and once at mid day. some of the pans are getting fuzzy around the edges and on top but there are no pins. There are a few little white things that look kinda like feathers kind of conical in shape. Any help please would be greatly appreciated.
