The problem with quitting weed is that the general attitude is that it is harmless, so why bother? But if you've gotta put the pipe down, then you've gotta put the pipe down. Its no different than quitting any other habit (that doesn't have painful/deadly withdrawls).
So, tell me, how 'spiritual' was your weed ritual? Did you actually pray to the weed god when you rolled joints and packed bongs? Probably not, I bet you just got high and called it 'spiritual' cuz it felt so good. You'll find through research that relying on external things to attain any sort of 'spirituality' is an empty path. Might as well claim that chewing cinnamon bubble gum is the stepping stone to your enlightenment.
I think that you need a new hobby, one that doesn't revolve around packing bowls. Try something like yoga or tai chi. Its portable, like weed, yet there's nothing to find when you get searched. However it will take you much further, spiritually, than smoking weed will. I don't mean this in a sarcastic, facetious manner like my above paragraphs, I mean this to be the most serious thing you have ever considered, since 12 years of weed smoking is what you have currently found to be your 'height'. You just haven't been looking hard enough, and its due to a surplus of dank in your hand. Now that the dank has been taken away from you, you should realize that 'true' spirituality is finally available to you. Stop looking at your empty hand/bong!!! Look around you!! You're surrounded by It!!! Embrace It! |
