We had PapaJohn's 2nite. One Large Thin Crust with pepperoni, bacon peppers, and onions, and one large regular crust with plain cheese. Also a order of Hot Wings with ranch sauce.

sounds good, dice. one of the first cooking related things i learned after moving out of my mom's house was how to 'better' jar sauce. It only takes an extra minute or 2 to heat it up on the stove and add some herbs and spices, and then it tastes so much better! ![]() Wasn't long before i started making it from scratch, but that takes a lot longer. I still keep jar sauce around for when i need to eat fast or to get a jumpstart when making a more complicated sauce. For lunch today: Bratwurst browned in the pan with onions, then poured a beer over it all and let it steam until the sauce became thick and gooey. Served on a bed of steamed white rice with a little spicy brown mustard on the side.

Very fresh, local sturgeon, marinated in lemon juice, almond/hemp/olive oils, some wasabi, some cayenne, and some dillweed then grilled 5 minutes per side. Long green beans and a mix of swiss chard and russian kale, all chopped and steamed for about 5-10 minutes. I always like to save the water from my boiled/steamed veggies and dilute it with tap water to fill the glass, I figure it must be good for me... And a bottle of mead.

Made some pizza's tonight... My girl had mostly sauce, light sprinkle of cheese and a ton of veg- onion, red/green/yellow peppers, tomatoes, a bit of fresh basil and called it good, on a wheat Boboli shell... Mine was sauce, (store bought, Tomato Basil...), fresh mozerlla that took me forever to slice up, pepperoni, ham, onion, red/green/yellow peppers, fresh basil, oregano....regular Bobobli shell that I rubbed a little minced garlic/oil all over/under... Forgot tomato and jalepnos....but I got a good enough mix from all that... |

Seafood fettucini alfredo with sliced shitake caps. Sauted the shitakes, shrimp, and scallops, in garlic butter and put it over whole wheat cheese ravioli and then doused it with good quality store bought alfreado sauce...and a couple of heinekens |

Well 2nite I made Ribs and baked Potato, I also maked peas but I didnt have room on the plate. I made some cookies yesterday I was supposed to make 4 dif kinds, but only made 2 so the first 2 pics are of my fav cookie. Italian sugar Cookies which are just sugar, flour, vanilla, egg, milk, crisco, salt, and baking powder. Your supposed to roll them into real small balls, but I like to make them bigger. I also made the icing which is only 1LB Powder sugar, 1 Stick of Butter, and milk. But I didnt wait for the cookies to cool down enough so the icing was a little bit runny. The 4th pic is smore cookies really its only chocolate chip cookies with some graham crackers crushed up and added to them, and a big marshmallow inbetween. Ill post some pics next weekend once I get all the cookies made.
