For whatever reason I'm having trouble imbedding videos. If you have a shed outside for your projects or whatever, this could be perfect for you. Take a waterbottle and fill it up with clean h20. Add a few capfulls of bleach. Attach a film cannister to the top, and put it inside a whole in the roof. Simple, effective. Saves electricity.

When I edited it the first time and it did the same until I deleted the = sign before the numbers. That's probably what threw you off. it's all good and fixed now...Btw that is a excellent idea for sure firerat.

![]() Aparently it's to protect the bottle cap from the sun. Otherwise the cap could melt.

So we kinda know what the film cartridge is for, now how do you get those heavy - assed bottles to stick in the roof and not leak?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | That is really cool. If you install the bottles upside-down and attach clear vinyl tubing to the top and also fill that with water, I bet you would have a fiber-optic style light conduit (for the basement!). And for party time, add food coloring to the water!

How many bottles would you need over a closet to get a good crop going? ![]() I really like the example at the end of the video. This sort of reminds me of those plastic sun panels used in shops, but this seems much easier to install...trust me.

Did anybody catch any mention of what they sealed the bottles to the roof with? Seems like silicone adhesive caulk would work, but was that what they were actually using?

a little weight to them, but a good seal should hold it up for years. Maybe it would be simpler to place them up there empty, then fill them once they are locked into place.
