Here's a beautiful sword inspired by Heinlein. http://www.albion-swords.com/swords/...dy-vivamus.htm

I have the master hunter knife, which is great. Their folding knives are some of the best. Ebay is a good place to get used Cold Steel products, esp. if you can get the blades which are made of Carbon V steel, which the company no longer offers. Carbon V was not as pretty, but was the strongest and sharpest and can take a hell of alot of abuse.

The carbon V was the shit! You had to keep it oiled or it would rust easliy but i'm suprised they discontinued it. A lot like spring steel it could be bent at 20 some odd degrees and would spring back to true. I had one of their old smaller tantos with the brass hilt and pommel before they changed it to the steel round one. They had a limited edition stainless damascus tanto years ago that i saw on ebay recently for a grand$. Good stuff, but i stick to benchmade nowdays.

I know a lot of people who buy those $30 mall Braveheart swords and think they can actually go into battle with them. Or a $10 Wally-World special and wonder why it's as sharp as a marble and the hilt breaks as soon as pressure was applied. No dude, hang it bavk on the wall where it's supposed to go.

.... i think mines pretty strong.. and its got the sharpest blade out of anything i own or my friends do... its hand forged steel i think.. im sure its been used in battle before. when i got it it had some deep faded reddish color all over it.. then i had a friend polish it up and shit.. i wouldnt hesitate to use it in a fight... id show a picture but im a few hundred miles from home at the moment.
