I just want to jump on the bandwagon and thank all the ladies (and of course, the photographers who convinced them to participate in the first place). problem- my macbook took a total crap out yesterday morning, all data lost, all my links, passwords, mail, etc. i'm on a new PC laptop i picked up at costco to get online but it's so much hassle, i hates it. anyway i'm taking the mac to the 'geniuses' at apple tomorrow to see what can be salvaged so there'll be a few day delay as i get my shit back together. sorry for the hassle.

i know how long it's been since i used windows.  i've always been on a mac. so my sympathy is truly with you. wouldn't wish what you are going through on anyone. hope it goes more smoothly than you expect and you're on your old system soon. ramb

Man, I can see where this is going... PLEASE don't start the Mac vs. PC arguement. Both platforms have their place, their cheerleaders and their detractors. PLEASE just let it die before somebody ends up banned... Totally off topic, anyway. Neither platform has boobs.

Hey Hip man if you need any help with Windows I am a Certified Pc tech and KNow them pretty damn well and let me guess you have the god for saken vista on the new lappy huh. Not worth the space it takes up on the harddrive IMO be best off if I sent ya a copy of this win XP Pro I have and wipe Vista clear the hell off that machine and Start over without all that garbage they install on those machines. OH and Honesty for the Best anti virus that is made for windows and I have tried them all its Panda Internet Security 2008 It totally protects your puter from maleware, spyware, adware, and of course viruses and any potentally unwated programs you may pick up from the net as well as has a kick ass firewall.

lol this new laptop is a piece of shit so i'm taking it back monday and getting a better one. so i'm not bothering to get everything into this new one just to turn it back in a few days later. once i get the one monday morning i'll fix it up and load in my links and passwords so i can get back to work and finish this off.

Aside from the Intel processor not a bad laptop hippie not to bad at all gotta love 4 gigs off DDR memory and the lightscribe burner. Nice man should have gone AMD though LOL Any how nice laptop man Hope it works alot better for ya.

| LightScribe is an optical disc recording technology that uses special coated recordable CD and DVD media to produce Laser etched labels with text and graphics, as opposed to stick on labels and printable disc. The disc comes in many colors: monotone (original) red, green, yellow, blue, and orange backgrounds. More or less you are able to create direct-to_disc labels.

Not a bad machine at all, man. Should serve you well. Hope it is XP. Lightscribe is burning discs just like you already know; you are just burning pictures on the non-data side. There will be an editor program of some kind on the machine that will let you design images and arrange text in a circle. After you design the text/images for the disc, you burn it into the CD (might be with the same program, might not). Predictably, lightscribe blanks are more expensive than basic CD blanks...
