Pedro Extract Question

I am trying the alcohol extraction method with San Pedro. I chopped up the Pedro and covered it with everclear. Then some friends came over and we drank the rest of the everclear. So the Pedro has been soaking for a couple days now in the same everclear. This shouldn't have any adverse affects should it?

When I strain the everclear out should I use a coffee filter?

You just pour it off into another jar to get tready for your evaporation pan (see pyrex dish)
Then you do the same soak 2 more times pouring the green alchy off the top again without getting any sludge. Its gonna take about 2 days.
After the 3rd and final soak you pour the stuff off the top
then using a coffe filter and something it can sit in all the sludge goes into the filter to drain into the jar when that is done then place all the alchy from the colection jar into your pyrex dish and fan it to evaporate. And skrape up whats there.
Do not evaporate near flame or even indoors IMO and U might look into something cheaper than Everclear next time.

i start with a cloth like an old T-shirt to filter
before a coffee filter, that's very slow by itself.
got a vacuum pump ? that helps alot.
a long soak won't hurt, a few days won't matter.
