DMT and Shrooms

I was just reading a crazy trip report from Gracie and Zarkov in which they pre-dosed on DMT 2 hours before taking mushrooms. They describe the event as "the strangest trip that we have ever had".

I was just wondering though, I think I remember reading that DMT is completely out of one's system about 1 hour after smoking, so if this is true, could the pre-dose of DMT really have contributed much? Or am I mistaken about the 1 hour?

DMT can do very, very interesting things with other psychedelics.

Only the very stupid and the very curious mix DMT with other things...

The effects used at the peak of another psychedelic can last for several hours"

That makes more sense though. I just don't see how pre-dosing with DMT hours before injesting another psychedelic could affect the experience that much, assuming that DMT does in fact completely leave the body that quickly.

They (Gracie and Zarkov) write, "Note: While we recommend above not to combine DMT with other hallucinogens, we have had excellent results using DMT as a "pre-dose" for LSD, MDM, MDA, or mushrooms. The technique is to take the second hallucinogen orally just as you come out of the vision state. The resulting trip will be more profound and will help you to understand the strange and alien vistas which you were shown while on the DMT".

I suppose taking the second drug immediately after the DMT trance wore off would likely contribute a lot, but the trip report describes smoking the DMT 1 1/2 to 2 hours before. I guess a related question is how long would one have to wait after smoking to insure that the DMT wouldn't affect the second drug they were taking?

Perhaps there is no physical DMT left, but its effects, its "neural reprogramming" if you will, lingers on. I've read people say that they were euphoric or psyched for days afterword.

I wouldn't know on that, it would be nice to hear others experiences. I would think at least a full day, after some sleep...

i'm in agreeance with space..
it is probibly not the drug so much as the neural pathways that were stimulated that effected it for such a long time afterwards
and as for how long to wait till it won't affect it.. sleep is pretty much our minds reset button, so i'd say after a good nights sleep.

IME the only tolerance one experiences from dmt is when the body is breaking it down (metabolizing). So there is no real tolerance, like for other drugs you would need to abstain for days/weeks to get the same effects. With dmt, once the body has broken it down there is again no tolerance.

My experiences with pre-dosing DMT is that it is practically an MAOI. All psychedelics are more intense while you still have that "glow." Some are just insanely more intense.

LSD after DMT is madness in a bottle.

DMT during LSD is damned terrifying.

I read somewhere online that when you smoke DMT a few hours before you trip on mushrooms you "meet" the entities, then when you trip you "get to know them". I know that mushrooms in general have never been the same since I smoked DMT... I can always pull myself a little bit further now.

I like to smoke DMT 20minutes or so before a couple puffs of Salvia..definitely interesting. I once(only once)loaded up my whipped cream canister w/2 chargers prior to smoking the D and as soon as I blew out my hit I attempted to hit the gas.It was difficult enough to operate,but wow was it weird...

I've looked for information on taking DMT with other psychedelics and yet to find anyone that has experienced adverse effects. FOAF personally loves smoking DMT, small quantities, on the peak of LSD. A FOAF finds it to be very relaxing and comes out smiling everytime. Do any of you have/heard stories of what negative effects may come with mixing with DMT?

I completely agree with you on that. Before FOAF ever tried DMT he put LSD as his drug of choice but now DMT drives a hard bargain that can't be discounted. All I'm asking are there any dangers/adverse effects people know about that my FOAF should watch out for when combining with DMT?
