I've heard morning glory will quickly take over an area if you are not careful.

Sinicuichi (Heimia salicifolia) is a nice little shrub that has tons of beautiful yellow flowers that is used traditionaly to make a relaxing/euphoric tea in south america. puts out litterally trillions of seeds and can spread like crazy. survives through light winters.

Morning glories are annuals I believe. They grow easily just about anywhere if you plant in the spring. The bad thing is they grow out of control and get wrapped in the fence, and then you gotta tear em out of the fence when they die.

Lions tail/wild dagga is easy on the coasts to grow, though I've never been so impressed with its results.

shouldn't be a problem if you get some sort of trellis. i think there is also a way of training it to not climb.

a cactus would be pretty easy. maybe a san pedro.

Oh yea, it can be a perennial, neato...

Hardiness: USDA Zones 10 - 11. Morning glory is a perennial in Zones 10-11, but this frost tender vine is also widely enjoyed as an annual in temperate zones.

I can't help you there i would go with a botanicals sponsor here. You can always check ebay as a last resort. Check erowid to get the scientific name and ask the headshop what the scientific name is for the morning glories they sell and compare to what you got from erowid.

"Heavenly blue" is a common MG variety found anywhere, that is active.

Passion Flower is another Perenial vine who's leaves have a strong sedative effect in tea..[Passiflora incarnata]..grows in the UK in a sheltered sunny location..has cool flowers too ...
