Lifting off and cleaning / recrystalizing spice

I tried last night 4 times to lift off for my first time with spice.. I was attempting to vaporize it out of a light bulb, and I was being very cautious with the dose since I was alone.. The first 2 times I felt nothing (I am pretty sure the dose was way too low now).. The 3rd and 4th time my lungs hurt like hell afterwards, I did get some mild euphoria, but I never lifted off.. The 4th time I almost wanted to yack from the smoke/taste/harshness and well that was it for the night of trying..

I am thinking next time I may try and find a meth/crack/base pipe and try out of it cause the surface area of the light bulb might have contributed to the problem, but not sure.. On the inside of the bulb now I have a few number of crystals that have grown overnight so I think I might have not been vaping all of the spice..

The spice I extracted is slightly off white.. I didn't bathe it in ammonia thinking it was clean enough when i first extracted it.. Now I really think I need to try and clean it before I try again.. What is the best way if I have 2-3 grams to clean or recrystalize/clean the spice so that it's not so harsh and maybe I can lift off next time?

You can do what you think is right for you.
I wouldn't wash it unless it REALLY dirty.
Couple questions(assuming you put enough spice in)
did you wash the bulb out
did you try using a straw
I have found that a light bulb works well
when you have it tilted where the metal end
is slightly pointing down and the spice fits
in the first dip of the bulb. Torch it a couple seconds before you inhale through the straw.
This allows the bulb to fill up with smoke and
when you inhale your lungs to be filled with more goodies rather than a mix of regular air and just a tiny bit of vaporizing smoke....just a suggestion at best

idk, no matter how clean you get it, dmt's always pretty brutal to smoke
IMO.

if you're not afraid of needles, consider cleaning it up a bunch and injecting
some.

try recrystallizing with naphtha, maybe try carbon cleanup.
if you need a tek, try searching and/or looking in the archives, plenty
of good threads.

I did wash out the inside of the bulb after cleaning it with salt..

I attached the very top neck of a 2 liter bottle (screw threads) and the cap to the metal part.. I put a bic pen as a straw through the 2 liter bottle cap..

I had the straw pointing up at a 45 degree angle when I was heating the spice.. Is the vapor clear and it was just escaping out the top? I was assuming I would see it..

Do I need to pull on it the whole time I am heating it?

I have to admit I am intrigued by the idea.. I never thought I'd take a "needle drug" ever, but ya never know.. Spice isn't heroin.. I still am going to try smoking again before I very seriously consider mainlining it..

smoke almost seeps out the bottom then
(while still torching) hit it like you live,
like its the last breath your going to take
for days....hold it as long as you can,
ignore the burn and misery
when you exhale if you still see smoke.....

Meh, FOAF buys some blueberry tea, packs a little into a water pipe, puts in a McKenna dose of spice melts its a little then tops with more tea. Filtering through the water takes alot of the harshness out of the smoke supposedly. Try to top the bowl mostly with tea so you dont touch the flame to any spice an just get it rolling. Take a few hit and make sure someone is there to take the pipe

try a basepipe and light it with matches, it always works well for me, have a friend light it for you tho so you dont fly away and drop a lit match on your dazed ass. you cant really smoke too much, i mean you could but it would just maybe be scary, i usually load a fair amount more than i intend on being to finish before i am gone, i just smoke til i drop.

Absolutely not. If you do decide to inject spice, it goes intramuscular. Let it take a moment to get to the mainline. Especially the first time.

IM dmt does almost nothing, you have to to up the dose dramatically (from IV) and then it takes a long time to come on and a long time to wear off, overall its just a drawn out strangeness, hardly a trip at all. just start low with IV.
