![]() | Herbs for Dreaming In the past, I've had alot of success with lucid dreaming and vivid dreaming, without the influence of any substances. Waking up every morning with a load of powerful imagery on your mind can become mentally exhausting, for me. So I took a break. Now, I'm ready to give it another shot and further my experiences with lucid dreaming. This time, with the help of herbs/entheogens. I've looked around online and I've seen alot of information about Calea Zacatechichi. From what I've read this herb seems like it would be perfect for my purposes. But before I go and blow some cash I'd like to hear some 'topiates opinions on Calea Zacatechichi. Have any of you found this herb to be effective? If so, what methods of consumption did you try? (I'd prefer to avoid smoking) Also, have you had success with any other dream enhancing entheogens?

![]() | Yeah, actually, I bought an ounce of that stuff from BBB. It didn't work for me. I tried smoking cigarettes made with it, making tea, huge pipe hits, but didn't work for me. It might have been because of my heavy ganj usage, but that shouldn't be the case. I gave some to a friend though, and he said that it worked great for him. I dunno man, everyone has their different reactions. I say just get a small amount (if you can) and try it out. Peace |

![]() | I'm wondering if anyone here was having vivid dreams before trying the herb, then tried it and noticed a difference. I'm sure having prior experience in lucid dreaming is a huge part.

![]() ![]() ![]() | I bought a live plant. I got quite a few leaves off it, nothing like an ounce though. The thing about this plant is that its for dreaming, so don't smoke it and then get up and change clothes, grab a snack, turn off the lights and get in bed. Take care of all that stuff so all you have to do is hit the pipe and lay down. I always smoked it in a pipe, maybe once in a bong. A couple times I mixed it 1 to 1 with marijuana, though I think I got my best results with just the calea zacatechichi. I definately got very vivid very lucid dreams, pretty much almost as soon as I closed my eyes. I don't feel like writting all my dreams down at this moment, maybe later. So, here's the thread I made when I got my plants. Not much info in it, but there's pics of the calea zacatechichi at least. http://forums.mycotopia.net/showthre...a+zacatechichi (Power plant cultivation) Come to think of it, I'd say that using this herb is similar to s. divinorum in the respect that it takes a couple tries to get it right the first time. I'd also like to say that there was something similar in the way it felt right after hitting the pipe that reminded me of s. divinorum. Doesn't take much though... ----------------------- Now that I've got some gears turning in my noggin... check out www.zoe7.com this dude experimented with various entheogens, lucid dreaming, and other technology. In his first book, he mentions that one of his favorite methods for lucid dreaming is to take a quarter hit of blotter acid in the after noon, about 15 minutes before laying down for a nap.

![]() | get some Silene capensis(XHOSA dream plant) root. it takes your body an extremely long time to absorb the alkaloids found in capensis. so, take a 1/4 teaspoon of ground root first thing in the morning(on an emtpy stomach, wait 30-45 minutes then eat). by the time your ready for bed you'll be good to go. the first two or three nights might be uneventful but, trust me by the fourth night you'll be blown away. run a google on xhosa dream plant. there are some really interesting and informative articles out there. |

![]() | Lucid dreams can be induced using techniques but it does take some effort. Then when you just start going to bed to sleep the skill seems to just wither away. Calea does work without having to make too much effort but in my opinion its best when you haven't taken anything else all day then smoked not long before going to bed. An extract is a possible method for those who haven't had any results but I have no knowledge on how it is made. An IPA extraction put into capsules may work ? The tea is very bitter. Raw herb in caps would work but best to finely powder it first.

![]() | I personally didn't have any luck with Calea Z. Tried several times from one batch and I could not remember dreaming anything the following mornings (I usually do). Mugwort did improve my dreaming. But I got the best results out of the Vitamin B6 + Melatonin + Valerian combo. During my sleep I felt I was awake, like in real life. At some point we went to a street festival and they had a massive dragon that spit fire and I could see every single detail. I was quite amazing. The only drawback is I keep waking up. Is like I don't go into deep sleep and the morning after I am quite tired. May be changing dosage can help, but anyway don't do it if you have a busy schedule the day after. |
