![]() | The Tree-Shrub that contains Meth, DMT, and Mescaline! Hey guys, I ran across this a while ago and thought you might find it interesting. It is called Acacia berlandieri. It is a tree\shrub that contains quite an amazing array of drugs, including methamphetamine which was previously thought to only be man-made, DMT, and Mescaline. ![]() It contains N-methylphenethylamine, tyramine, tryptamine and phenethylamine. It also contains amphetamine, methamphetamine, N,N-dimethylamphetamine, p-hydroxyamphetamine and p-methoxyamphetamine. ![]() And FTW it also has deep within its bowels DMT, Mescaline, and Nictotine! ![]() Contains hordenine, which is a potent phenylethylamine alkaloid with antibacterial and antibiotic properties. It stimulates the release of norepinephrine in higher animals. It is produced in nature by several varieties of plants in the family Cactaceae and some in Acacia. It is also found in HIGH amounts in Peyote, San Pedro and Peruvian Torch cacti. Contains quercetin which has been claimed to demonstrate significant anti-inflammatory activity because of direct inhibition of several initial processes of inflammation. For example, it inhibits both the manufacture and release of histamine and other allergic/inflammatory mediators. In addition, it exerts potent antioxidant activity and vitamin C-sparing action Contains catechin which has been shown to be very healthy displaying a reduction in atherosclerotic plaques in animal models as well as a reduction in carcinogenesis in vitro. It grows native all over Texas! Apparently it is "highly toxic" but I would LOVE to have one of these easy-to-obtain and easy-to-grow plants in my garden just for principle. Hope you guys enjoy as much as I did, it fascinates me that such a plant exists! ![]() |

| But how could it possably be used as an enthegen? First off a simple extraction could never form crystals with all the different alkaloids for instance mesc is an oil dmt is a crystal, than there is perportions if you drank a shot of tea it might be for example that 80% of the alkaloid content is nicotine and 2% amphetamine or whatever, you probably wouldnt get high off it just sick or dead unless you were capable of isolating compounds. Pretty fuckin cool tho |

![]() As for me, I think I'll start some bushes growing in my yard, and by the time someone figures out how to safely pull out the alkaloids and determines exactly what they are and how much of each is present, my bushes should be pretty big and ready to harvest. The Rogue Chemists have their work cut out for them with this tree, it appears. There's something for everyone in this plant, so I hope a way to tap its potential is found, so good luck and Godspeed to any who choose to work on it. I think the meth content will draw a lot of interest (more than a psychedelic by itself would) and speed up research and development, so to speak, so we may not have long to wait. Since it grows far into Mexico, I would be very surprised if members of the Tarahumara tribe don't know about it or use it, unless it really is too toxic due to the crazy mixture it contains. Too bad tribal elders aren't online and able to answer questions. "Askanelder.com" would be popular I bet. | |

![]() ![]() | It naturally occurs in large parts of Texas, so this is one of those ideal plants that we can just go get ourselves without even leaving the country or worrying about a safe address to have something sent to (check out the wikipedia link suckerfree posted for more info and pics). Then we just have to figure out how it might be ingested safely... so it's the opposite of most psychoactive plants; easy to get but difficult to consume (for now). |

![]() | It might be a good idea to figuer out how to get the nicotene out for starters without debasing the other alkaloids. Ditto for anything else that might be considered totally undesireable or dangerous. I'd love Dr. Shuglin to tell what its got and in what proportions. I wonder if he is aware of this baby? |

![]() | Here's what Dr Shulgin says Ask Dr. Shulgin Online September 26, 2001 He doesn't say what and in what proportions unfortunately In fall it has 75-114 parts per billion (yes, billion) DMT, and 287-334 parts per billion tryptamine. In spring it has 90-124 parts per billion tryptamine. Thats all listed in the wiki page but unfortunately I have found little else.
