    Thought to drop this thread...
It can do nothing but good
The story began on 4/30/2007 when they all sprouted...and pictures are taken one month apart from each other
No fungicide or insecticide were used. Last three pics were taken couple of days ago...hope you'll enjoy them

    looking good mang,
I had around ten or so and all of em turned white and or red and died. I got one surviving seedling now. I guess the sun or heat got em.
    Good luck

    Thanks folks
Most of the info I got from this site San Pedro Cactus, Trichocereus Pachanoi, Peruvianus, Peruvian Torch cacti
Mixture is as following... 50% perlite + 50% humus soil, little worm castings and some sand. It's nothing special...working fine so far
Do not expose them to direct sunlight, they turn red and die...lots of light but no sun!
I spinkle them 2-3 times a day, water them once each other day and they seem happy...
They got this light green color so I think they're healthy. (knock-knock)
Also first timer with this gotta love it!
    Peace
    Fool

What kind of lights are you using? They look very healthy! Good work! I use flouro grow bulbs for seedlings up to a year old.

That's some pretty good looking little Peruvians, you've grown there !
Do you have alot of experiance in growing cacti ?

How were the seeds labeled ?
Just Peruvian or did it also say what type of Peruvian it was ?

...I wanna know, because I have grown one different 'strain' myself,..it's one from spain, but I forgot to remeber the name !

Maybe someone has a list ?

@rocketman...I don't use any artificial lights. Daylight without direct sunlight

    @spacecake
This my first time evere growing cacti
I got the seeds from Free Spore Ring Europe for 1E...it said that the baggie contains 50+ seeds..I took the time and counted them all..it was 550...hahahah...kept 100 and gave away the rest. Ratio of sprouting was close to 60%.
Also they (FSRE) are very careful from where and who they recieve seeds. I'm sure it's Peruvian but it didn't said anything about "sub-strain".
Have another 30 of them waiting to get transplanted..should have done it earlier but I was lazy

    Peace

    Fool

You may want to get some flouros to overwinter the seedlings. Indirect sunlight will eventually cause etiolation in your babies.

    Here's a short update

They managed to pull through the winter without any artificial light
Those are the strongest ones on the pics...very soon I'll be repotting
    them into single little pots.
The biggest one is 3cm, others almost an inch...

Sweet! I was just getting ready to do a search for this topic. I was digging through my supplies and found a baggy of 500 peruvian seeds. I forgot I bought them a while back! Great job on your babies!
