So i got 56g of Chacruna and
114g of B. Caapi.

Question, is this ratio to prepare for 1-2 people?
I have phosphoric acid, distilled water, gelatin, the jars, and pots.

in the hummingbird tek rocketman says to use 20/1 of solution to herbs. So i got 6 oz of herbs so 120 oz of acidic water?

then a 3 day soak?
then a long 9 hour simmer? in the hummingbird tek he raises the ph back up by diluting it?

however i had questions of the cold soak, which is just with the rootbark, and skipping the whole simmering process?

I soak my herbs in half gallon jars in the acidified water for three days. I find this is key for herbs as well as bark. This comes out far less than 120oz. Just make sure your material is ground as fine as you can get it and it is completely covered in acidified water.

You still need to cook afterwards. I recommend hips crock pot method. The main thing im finding with "dud" brews is the brewer not using enough b. caapi. It is always a good idea to brew double the amount. You may need it depending on how good your herbs are.

so is 10/1 or 20/1 water to herb ratio recommended?
hummingbird says that 20 drops of phosphoric acid will make ph 3 for every 1/2 gallon.
so if i plan on brewing with 1 gallon 40 drops should be around 3?
i am assuming that not as much water is lost for the covered simmering, but in the reducing stage.

i want four 12 oz doses from this, since i am unfamiliar with both aya and phosphoric acid.
so should i start with 120 oz of water or 60 oz if i want four weaker doses of 48 oz?

Looks great. I found the soaking for 3 days in acidified water makes for a better extraction, and more potent brews.

You posted right before I did with your question. Yes you are right according to the recipe.

4 doses, dude, 25g of caapi? Not gonna cut it with any method imho. I find myself needing around 100g of caapi for a single dose. If you dont get the maoi you will not get the effects of the leaf.

If this is a dry run to get yourself accustomed to the brew then thats okay, but dont expect too much.

The amount of water is not what is important, its the ph.

thanks for the timely replies, adds good vibes to the prep. i figured that if i have too much water i can always evaporate and if i have not enough i could always add more. i am now thinking of reducing to two 6oz doses. if one isnt how i expected, at least i'll have another still to enjoy.

i plan on using filtered tap water for the brew, being that the filter i am using can make questionable creek water good water, i am hoping that any tap water 'additives' will be cleaned.

after mixing the herbs in the solution, i thought 'how would a real shaman regard this method?'
and whether or not people should just do it the traditional way. but then i thought, i am no shaman, just a mixed blood american seeking a new experience, so long as i keep a good head and high spirits, i can see now as the two mixed, the essence of the rainforest, of two entheogens sacred to locals for millenia, are these plants wiser than mushrooms? so i contemplated that as i shake, for this is just the beginnings of something mystical beyond anything i can comprehend.
