Poppie Butane extract?

From my experience with opioids they are water soluble, but I see an alcohol extract.

I have been wondering if one was arranging some poppies would there be any benefit from using butane to extract the goodness? Or would it extract anything one would consider beneficial to arranging dried poppies?

Not very likely. The desired products are in a salt form that is polar soluble. The reason alcohol works its that it is basically a carbon chain with the OH half of a water stuck onto it, resulting in both polar and non polar characteristics. The longer or bigger the carbon chain the less polar the alcohol is. Butane is 4 carbon chain and non-polar, and would only extract non-water soluble stuff.

I tried breaking down opium with alcohol so I could shoot it years back...I tried vinager and lemon juice and it just turned to sludge and I ended up eating it...I had black teeth for a day
