    DMT, is a MAOI inhibitor necessary for smoking?
    from what i've read it doesn't seem necessary for smoking...
    but would it amplify or prolong the effects?
    or is it simply for oral dosing?

    Nope, it's not.

    I've read that it makes it easier to break through though.

    MAOI is for oral dosing... (makes the dmt orally active)
