I hear that alkaloids are soluble in alcohols

so what's stopping me from soaking DMT containing material in for example ethanol for a while, then filtering it and letting the alcohol to evaporate???

If you're doin aya I'm sure it'd work, you'd have to use an maoi still though....but for smoking...you'd end up with too much gunk to smoke...

now could SWIM possibly distill the solution? with let's say cleverly designed apparatus. it would leave the fats and some other alkaloids like perhaps bufotenine behind I guess, and dmt boils sooner than water
