Well...the title says it all...does anybody know of an efficient tek to come up with clean SMOKABLE O.? And would be so gentle to post it step by step?

From what I've read all you need to do is score the pods once they reach full maturity. Then wait over night and collect the latex milk in the morning. Once you have a bunch of latex boil it in water and filter to get rid of any contaminates (sticks, dirt, twigs, etc.). Once you have filtered it just evaporated the water off and what you have left is opium.

Scoring and milking pods is a nice way to get caught. If I were you I would just wait for the poppies to dry out on their stalks then save the pods. Make some tea from these pods and your set.

Hey everybody! Thanks for the warm welcome! I heard a guy wanted to extract smokable O. from dried pods. He read this tek http://forums.mycotopia.net/botanica...ification.html (opium purification) but found many others on the forum...and from what I heard he needs a step by step tek that works!

foaf uses isopropynol or ethanol. one may try a super-high-test whiskey such as moonshine or bacardi 151. just dont use run-of-the-mill rubbing alcohol as the industry secretly adds METHANOL in small amounts to the isopropyl alch. oh, and tons of water.

simply flour/grind the dried pods,add to a mason jar or carboy.
add an equal volume of alch. as there is plant material in the vessel,.
vigourously shake for as long as you can bear (couple minutes minimum).
place on a magnetic stir plate with stir bar inside the solution.
let this stir for a few days to a month or just aggitate the jar/vessel daily.
swirling, shaking, whatever. filter/strain, evaporate in a hot water bath, air dry or use a damprid chamber like used for drying mushies, to pull any excess moisture out, which shouldnt be much, and consume.
if food-grade alchohol was used (as directed in this post), you dont even have to dry it.
further, i cant forsee any harmful side effects to smoking the final product,
however, its not going to compete with real opium latex. its also not going to be a pleasant smoke.
this is just my guess tho, havent tred it.

the best way is to just eat a nice ball of the stuff (start with a piece the size of a tic tac and work your way up from there. if you havent got a tolerance, eating the concentrate of papaver somniferum will fuck you up into next tuesday. quite lliterally. foaf tried a piece the size of an m&m candy and nodded well, followed by the best sleep of my life. its worth mentioning that foaf's tolerance is grossly high. 100+mg oxycodone per day/200mg hydrocodone per day for years type tolerance.

that said, opiates are fucked up. theyre both a scurge and a blessing. educate yourself as to their addictive properties if you havent already, and use with extreme caution, respect, and by all means in moderation.

oh yeah, it takes over an hour to hit, or did for foaf. closer to two, like when you drink the tea, so dont double-dose, just wait for a few hours to see what happens. and do not forget the stone will gradually increase as the actives are absorbed into the bloodstream, so for accurate guaging of the potency of your particular batch, just dose the one small piece the 1st time. then another day try more if needed. dont overdo it on the testdrive unless you have to (high tolerance person going thru withdrawels will take more no matter what. there are no amount of words i can type to prevent someone who is sick as a dog from getting their fix.)

So there isn't a solid tek to get smokable o. from dried pods...right? He told me he know's all about the p.tea and the alcoholic extraction.. He's thankful for the help. He'd love real o. latex but in So.Ca is really difficoult if not impossible.
