I've had the same desktop background for years.....eh...I'm a creature of habit.

I would like to thank you for the gorgeous new desktop background!
Absolutely beautiful photos! Problem was choosing which one to use.

I hope someday to have such beautiful flowers.

Is your favorite one a L. Fricii?

    Very beautiful indeed.
I need to get some going. Some to sample some day and some just to have with me, to look at, years down the road.
And maybe, after 30-40 years of soaking up experiences w/ me, I'll prepare it and reminisce about my life.
    Great Pictures, Thanks again Spacecake!

    They are all Williamsi Myc....

They just change there appearance a little bit, when they get older.
The 'favorite one' is the mother of all my peyotes ! (except two...)
Many years ago I bought it.. already mature.

Grafted two days ago onto a local strain of Opuntia.
Very fast growing, drought tolerant, and with many long, sharp spines to discourage pets/ admirers from examining by touch.

Well, the temperature here, ranges from -5 oC (winter) to 30 oC in the summer...
I move my cacti inside in Oktober/November ,when the temperature reaches 7 oC or so...
Stop giving them water till March.
I do not heat my greanhouse..I think that's just a waist of money, because they like the Winter rest...

    That's an easy answer...
I bought them at a ''smartshop'' here in Holland...,but some private local growers here sell them aswell.

How do I grow them ?
I just give them alot of water when they need it... so do not give them a little water every day or so,..but lots of water every one or two weeks,in the Summer.
For example..this peyote get atleast a liter water, and my big Peruvians two liters or so each.
