?'s regarding opium colors

alrite on a few occasions throughout my buddies years he came across some opium people were selling and everytime it was some fake ass garbage...incence or piano wax..now these things had mostly no effect except 4 placebo. this fake shit has come in many forms...black tar, red rock, and i even saw some stuff that looked like dry glue.

now what i wana know is what does real smokeable opium look like. is there all different kind of colors and what is the difference and y are they different. Also, im sure if ud smoke real opium u would have noticeable effects what r they like. anyone else have experience with this fake shit that goes around?

c i always figured red rock wasnt real. any of the black shit ive seen was strait jet black...that brick hippie showed above definately has a different everything to it. what colore does it come out of the poppy? if it goes from ivory to black y does it do that?

I have always seen very dark brown/black. Darker than what Hippie posted and was always quite potent. The smell is unmistakable to me... even the best incense can not compare.

The latex coming out of a poppy pod is white. It dries to a tan/brown, sometimes almost black.

Final color probably depends on the processing procedure.

imho I would grow my own poppies then use the extraction technique. to do my own to make sure you're getting the real thing. There are plenty extraction teks on mycotopia that you could use and very informative.

Here's a pic of SWIMs raw opium fresh out of the poppy. Collected from Persian white pods.
It's not much but from SWIMS first harvest. It turned into a much bigger pile once all the pods were milked. It had a definite red tint to it.

At first lance the milk is white then after a few hours it hardens and turns a brownish red. Thats the time to scrape it and put it in a pile.

Ya i agree it is crap. I got sold this shit more than once at festivals and never got high from what i thought was opium so i did a little research on line thinking it was going to be lettuce leaf extract or something but nope just incense so i orderd some and gave it out to my friends and lets just say the placebo effect is amusing.
